TYR PEG

This is a view of Tyr Peg, Innit fab!!!

Here is a closer view showing it in all its cozyness

If you would like to enter the mysterious world of Tyr Peg, read on,

The Linge

The lounge has an open fire, two chairs (very comfy) and a settee (sleeps one). Also there is a sideboard where, hidden away, are games and leaflets on all local touristy visity places.

The Dining Room - Kitchen

The Dining Room - kitchen has: cupboards; table; chairs; fridge; sink; electric cooker; microwave; cutlery ; crockery and cleaning materials (hint, hint)

Stored away is a camp-bed and somewhere you will find a fan heater Shrewsbury (only joking)

Note: Immersion heater is in airing cupboard at waist height under shelf to left unless you decide to turn it on, while doing a headstand in which case it is on the right at knee height.

The Bedroom

This is a fairly poor photo of the bathroom but it has: toilet, sink shower but no bath. The bedroom photo shows double bed; single bed and bedside table /lamp. In room is also small wardrobe and small radiator type heater. NOTE: NO BEDDING OR PILLOWS.

Things to make and do.

'Four Steps to Heather":

Four Steps to Heather is a walk up the mountain from Tyr Peg. To make a full day of it you can continue all the way to Llanrhaedhr Waterfall where there is a tea room at the bottom. You can return a different route and arrive at the Llangynog village where there are two pubs.

Alternatively, you could drive to the Waterfalls (30 minutes) or walk down the mountain road to the village (25 minutes)

Another day out could involve a visit to either of the nearby lakes:

Bala Lake- to the North W. A natural lake which is touristy, has boating: railway rides and a leisure centre and the town of, yes you 're ahead of me: Bala. The lake also has a species of fish found nowhere else in the world!

Lake Vrynwy - head south; a man made reservoir with craft shops; visitors centre, picnic area, hotel ; bar food and walks. Also consider:

Llanfyllin -busy village and a good bakery

Church at Pennant Melangel - good walk

Llanarmon DC- bit of a drive. Two good Pubs hotels.

People have been known to go further afield to the North coast.
