Instructions

1 Black out the inside of a laundry basket and a flip top litter bin with gaffer tape.

2 Find a lens that has a focal length of the height of the bin lid Try a selection of cheap, high magnification, 3+dioptre reading glasses.
(You can judge the focal length by focussing a window onto a white sheet of paper then measuring the distance).

3 Buy a cheap, thin white dust sheet.

4 Gaffer tape the whole lot together.

5 Put on somebody's head.

As well as a way of viewing natural wonder,
it can also act as a handy inconspicuous disguise for anyone on the run from the CIA.

The: 'Why didnt I think of this 20 years ago' department, presents to the world,
possibly the most important announcement in imaging since
Daguerre and Arago promoted the invention of photography to the world in 1839,,,,

the beer can camera has an improved and simpler lid!!!!

Quick, weatherproof, and most importantly, allows the excuse to open a second can of beer!
(due to the sharp edge, its probably best to stick to the original card design for kids workshops)

Video instructions for opening beer cans safely can be found here, (1 minute in)

'The Brothers Bloom'

"The Taj Mahal taken by a fat tourist with Diarrhoea and a point and shoot camera can be the flattest, dullest, "Here's us at the Taj Mahal, Oh lovely, lets go stick o
ur thumbs up our arses" picture, but you can look at the most menial every day thing, and depending upon how your pinhole eats the light, its warped and peculier and imperfect. Its not reproduction, its storytelling."

Penelope (Rachel Weisz) and
Water Melon Pinhole Camera

Wonderous film featuring Rachel Weisz (as a pinhole photographer)
Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rinko Kukuchi (and my snaps).
( Being honest, it unfairly went 'straight to radio' but I liked it!)
Rian's new film is 'Looper' also fab!
